Cassidy Barry was born and raised in Placentia Newfoundland and currently resides just outside the city’s capital in Mount Pearl.
Cassidy proudly graduated high school among the top three of her class and received several scholarships to aid in pursuing her dreams of becoming a board-certified trauma surgeon. She is currently striving towards that dream as she completes an English Degree in December. Aside from her university studies, Cassidy has also received formal education in gel nails, three-dimensional nail art and has earned the title of Swarovski Certified Nail Artist; which has allowed her to become her very own boss with a successful nail salon.

Through travel, Cassidy feels she has been enriched with knowledge and cultures and hopes to continue to travel the world and experience many more through her modeling, acting, and volunteering.
The arts have been a cornerstone in Cassidy’s life ever since she was able to hold a crayon and turn on her television. She spent many of her formative years learning to paint and draw. From an extremely young age, she knew she wanted to entertain people, this led her to drama-theater by grade two.
As an adult, Cassidy has turned her love of the arts and performing into a career as she is currently a professional model with multiple publications both print and digital and also has several runway shows under her belt. Cassidy can also be found as a background actress in several episodes of the international television series Hudson & Rex, and Surrealestate and has worked on several new productions recently including Departure Season 3, Son of a Critch, and Astrid and Lilly Save the World which will all be aired in the coming months.
Although pageantry has been a new adventure for Cassidy, she has discovered it to be a very enlightening experience and a confidence booster. She is prepared and determined to shatter glass ceilings in whatever she does. On her rare days off, you can find Cassidy trading in her heels and makeup for boots and a helmet as she suits up to ride her motorcycle and snowmobile. Her newest favourite pastime is playing with her very large puppy and working on obedience training.

“Being a female entrepreneur is so important to me because it allows me to be an independent person with a schedule that works most conveniently for me to continue to pursue my other dreams. While I adore working as a nail technician, actress, and model; I am also pursuing a career in medicine. For this reason being an entrepreneur allows me to create my own work-life balance that maximizes the things I can accomplish and people I can work with. Additionally, I have been able to meet so many fascinating people through my various jobs including famous actors and directors as well as fellow business owners and some of my best friends. Being an entrepreneur means I get to immerse myself into a world of diversity and individuality that I feel I wouldn’t get to experience in a typical workplace. Overall, being an entrepreneur has allowed me to live a dream I never thought could be real while I work towards even more dreams.”
