why female ceo?

In Canada we are insanely lucky to be where we are as women but there is so much room for improvement and progression. I will be doing my best to ensure we are all supported as women in Canadian business. This year this is my main focus and what I hope to bring awareness to with the help of you all with my platform Female CEO!

Just over 82% of professional working women believe that access to and networking with female leaders will help them advance in their career.⁣ I strive to create genuine connections with the amazing and strong women I have been and will be surrounded by and do my best to give back all they have given to me through their kindness and support. Female CEO will help me create that awareness through not only networking with others but the visual of our Female CEO Apparel.

Although 82% of women aged 25 to 54 now participate in Canada’s workforce, they are still underrepresented in leadership roles. Women hold only 25% of vice-president positions, and just 15% of CEO positions.⁣ How CRAZY is that? I personally want to see that number much higher!

In its commitment to support female entrepreneurs, the federal government is making approximately $1.5 billion in new financing available to women business owners over a period of three years.⁣ Again, how awesome is Canada? Imagine if we work together, we can help work to hopefully improve not only this number but also the resources around how to utilize those finances and the ability to access growth!

Being a female and a business owner is a special sort of chosen path that so many worked hard for us to be able to achieve. This is why I want to do my very best to fully support and create awareness around THE NEED FOR FEMALE owned & CANADIAN based businesses.

MISS UNIVERSE CANADA 2020

I was chosen to be a national delegate for Miss Universe Canada 2020 & stepped on stage in Toronto on October 24th, 2020 and I was lucky enough to have competed alongside almost 40 women all eager to make a difference and create change in something they believe in. I was able to put present Female CEO to all of you and those at The Miss Universe Canada 2020 pageant. I feel so lucky and grateful for this opportunity as it truly shows I am being recognized for my passions. I absolutely loved having your support as I went into this with a full heart and HUGE goals. I have always been into creating an action plan for my dreams so this year was about enforcing the action through the networking and potential I had in pursuing the title of Miss Universe Canada 2020 and being offered a voice on a national level.

WHAT IS MISS UNIVERSE CANADA?

The Miss Universe Organization empowers women to realize their personal, professional and philanthropic goals through experiences that build self-confidence and act as catalysts for future success. The entire concept is to celebrate and embrace beauty, all forms of it, and provide the tools that help women to feel confident and able to pursue their dreams. On top of giving women the opportunity to build up their self confidence and speaking skills, amongst SO many other skills, it creates direct opportunities for success regardless of your placing in the competition itself. Getting involved with the local and national community creates strong and valuable foundations for us as women and entrepreneurs. Just as I have always valued education and women empowerment the Miss Universe Canada pageant will help empower me to achieve bigger things within those passions.
