“Mind your own business. Your clientele deserves your full attention” -Katherine Kearney

Whenever I feel a bit discouraged or intimidated by other trainers, I remind myself of this. My job is to attend to my clients, as I know I have the knowledge and tools to provide them the best service to their unique goals.

I started personal training in 2019. My goal is to be an advocate for female weight training to support the periodization approaches, in the weight room, that encourages female physiology. As a pageant queen and sister, I have emphasized the importance of weight training for optimal health and self-care. We need the training effect to support hormone health, and muscle growth for longevity and daily life. I am an advocate for preventative care, and after being in the medical field for over 15 years, I will have to say that fitness is the best way to accomplish it!

Why is social media marketing so valuable for a business and what do you do to ensure your personal growth & success online?

“Social media has the ability to unite people and provide a powerful source of connection around the world. In positive ways,  social media has provided access to knowledge, businesses, and opportunities. There are so many events that interest me, that I would not have otherwise had access to or know about.

I use social media as an outlet for marketing, helping my legacy projects and admiring those who are working hard on their own journeys. I emphasize (re-post and tag) companies that are supportive along my journey and also non profit organizations that make meaningful impacts in our community. At the end of the day, ‘in-person’ connections are indispensable.

I made the decision years ago, that I wanted to be a role model as a natural fitness model in the fitness industry. I believe that personal growth and success flourishes from being accountable to my own ambitions and goals, as well as sharing my journey and learning along the way. Most of my off-screen time is studying and learning about how I can ensure I am making personalized programs that support training intention, and purpose. I have been fortunate in my business that I have not needed to fight for gender based equality. None the less, I think it’s important that women to have a knowledgable strong female role model to support female training.

Social media is equivalent to 'word of mouth' globally and It has given people an opportunity to see their own vision within my success. It is equally humbling and exciting when I get to work with them."

PRESENT YOUR BUSINESS

PRESENT YOUR WHY

WHY IS BEING A FEMALE CEO SO IMPORTANT TO YOU?

It's important that women have a knowledgeable strong female role model to support female training. This includes increasing awareness and education that women can train to support their cycles including having sufficient rest periods.

Being a female entrepreneur is important to me so I can give back, and enhance my personal service to others. Being responsible to help navigate many unique goals and personalities is a gift I have, that people feel comfortable working with.

Most of my education until this year, has been directed toward male training. My goal is to continue to integrate female physiology into our daily dialogue so the word 'period' isn't a swear word or easily dismissed. It's my business to help women feel comfortable and confident in a healthy environment in and out of a weight room. The education I have presented to clients and will continue to integrate into my personal training business will increase awareness and female cycles, and periodization approaches that work with physiology. Mimicking a male's periodization program isn't what is best for females. Fitness is to enhance our lives, it is an art and it is a science, and I am blessed to be working in this industry.

There’s something the same about success and defeat. Both should make you want to work harder.
